My name is Karen Warnock and I had the utter pleasure of using Wilkins and Jenny-Lea for my dress shopping, purchase and alterations. I’ve attached some photos from our big day but just wanted to take this moment to thank all of you, especially Shailo and Jenny-Lea, for making this experience just so awesome.
It was a fairly hastily-planned elopement, with only four months between booking the elopement and it happening, but the experience I had with Shailo for my two dress consults was nothing short of positive and wonderful. She was my very first ‘dress-try-on’ experience and it was easy, fun, slightly overwhelming but never stressful and I really want to pass my deepest thanks onto her for all her help and patience. I did go to one other place for a ‘just-in-case’ dress-try-on and it was awful – as I walked out the door I was immediately back on the phone to Wilkins who booked me in the next day and it was that second consult with Shailo that I picked my gorgeous Stella York dress. I am still so in love with it and so happy that it was found through such a positive experience.
Jenny-Lea was just amazing with the alterations – it fit me like a glove and I felt so beautiful and amazing on my day.
You have all been such an important and memorable part of my journey to getting married and I truly cannot thank you all enough for everything you have done.
We got married on Coromandel Peak in Wanaka on Sunday 13 April – simply an amazing day and I think my groom (Nick) loved the dress (as seen in the first-look photo)!
